The itel P40 has a 6.6 inches IPS LCD with HD+ resolution 120Hz AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 720x1600 pixels and runs on the Android 12 Go Edition Operating System and has up to 120Hz refresh rate. There is a waterdrop notch on top for the 5MP selfie shooter.

The itel P40 is powered by an Octa-core processor and Unisoc SC9863A chipset. It has eight Cortex-A55 CPU cores running at 1.6GHz, while the GPU is PowerVR GE8322, clocked at 550MHz.

The Phone with RAM includes 64GB+7GB RAM, 32GB+6GB RAM, and 64GB+4GB RAM versions.
