The Google Pixel 9a is expected to launch in the coming months, with its design already showcased through rendered images. Recent social media posts featuring actual photographs of the device confirm the accuracy of these CAD-based visuals.

The rear design aligns with the 2024 aesthetic of Google Pixels, characterized by a prominent oval camera island. The Pixel 9a will be powered by the new Tensor G4 chipset and will include 8 GB of RAM. It is set to have a 5,000 mAh battery, although it will support relatively slow 18W wired charging.

Leaks suggest that the primary rear camera will utilize a 48 MP Sony IMX787 sensor, identical to that found in the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, complemented by a 13 MP ultrawide camera, while a 13 MP front-facing camera will be positioned within a punch hole.

Price and availability

The anticipated price of the Google Pixel 9a is expected to be $499, which is approximately Rs 42,300. In contrast, the Pixel 8a was introduced in India with a starting price of Rs 52,999. Reports suggest that the Pixel 9a may be launched in March 2025, slightly earlier than the typical May release schedule. It is also expected to be available in India, similar to its predecessor, the Pixel 8a.
