A Great tablet for those who are on a tight Budget!
With the launch of all new Galaxy Tab S5e, Samsung seems to grab the tablet market once again. The Galaxy Tab S5e is the company’s Flagship tablet offering for the year 2019. Samsung has enhanced the tablet in number of ways to make it more appealing. Let’s take a look what it has to offer.
Design
Samsung has used Aluminum all around the tablet instead of glass or plastic. The aluminum gives the tablet a solid overall feel. The bezels are relatively thin and the dimensions are pretty well balanced. The Galaxy Tab S5e looks more like a tablet, which it should and reminds of the old ipad. It’s super thin and has only 5.5 mm thickness.
The Galaxy Tab S5e comes with a gigantic 10.5 inches display and thankfully it’s an OLED panel. It has a resolution of 2500 * 1600 pixels which isn’t bad for this size screen. The color output is excellent and the brightness levels are also great. You can easily view texts or browse the internet in direct sunlight. There are several display modes available for adjusting the display colors according to your need.
Performance
For the tab s5e, Samsung decided to go with snapdragon 670, an octa core chipset bases on 10 nm architecture. There is no any variant with snapdragon 855 processor. In reality, the 670 has the necessary power to run the galaxy tab s5e smoothly without any major lags or hiccup’s. Obviously, the 855 chipset would have been a lot superior, but the midrange chipset doesn’t disappoint in any case. However, in the gaming department, the andreno 615 GPU isn’t that well equipped. It can run all modern games including PUBG but only up to medium settings. These tablets aren’t designed for gaming purposes so we can’t expect too much out of them. A part from the chipset you get 4 or 6GB of ram options with 64 and 128 GB storage options respectively. For multitasking and heavy use age the 6GB variant would suit better.
Camera
You get a 13Mp main camera along with an 8Mp selfie shooter on the Galaxy S5e. The photo quality of both of these cameras is fine, nothing spectacular. Generally, tablets aren’t meant for taking close up photos and this is why there is only a single camera on this tablet. There is no built in Led flash here so low lights shots won’t come out that good. In the video department, there are some improvements such as 4k video recording. The video quality was good in daylight. Overall the camera on the tab S5e does the job but don’t expect anything artistic out of it.
Miscellaneous
Samsung has provided a fingerprint scanner on the tab S5e. It is located near the power button. Samsung has been placing the fingerprint scanner on the side of quite of its new phones. The response of the fingerprint sensor is good and it instantly unlocks the tablet. The quality of speakers is also on par with its competitors. There are two speakers on the tab S5e and both of them have crisp sound output. Powering up the tab S5e is the 7040 mAh battery that is sealed inside the tablet. The battery life is good on tab S5e and can last a working day on moderate use age. There is fast charging option which takes charging time equivalent to a smartphone for fully charging up the tablet. The Samsung galaxy tab S5e is available in two variants, one is Wi-Fi only and the second one is Wi-Fi plus LTE enabled.
